23-08) Shaun Rose scored three goals and added an assist to lead the Provost
Blades to a 6-4 win over the Tofield Satellites in the opener of their best of
seven semifinal Saturday night. Chad Smith, Brett McInnis and Mike George also scored for the Blades who took a 2-1 lead into the third period. Chad Anderson scored twice for Tofield while Ken Braget and Tyson Schielke added singles. Provost lead 3-2 with five minutes to go, before the flood gates opened with the two teams scoring another five goals in the late stages of the game. Game two is set for the Tofield Arena Sunday night at 8:30 pm. |
