2-08) The Provost Blades exploded for three goals in a 1:37 span of the third
period to edge the Tofield Satellites 5-4 in game 6 of their Battle River Hockey
League playoffs series Sunday night. Chad Smith led the way with the game winning goal and two assists for the Blades who advance to the league final against the Daysland Northstars. Mike George, Colin Johnson, Shaun Rose and Wes Ganser also scored for Provost. Bryan Lewis led the Satellites attack with a pair of goals, while Tyson Schielke and Chad Anderson added singles. Lewis had a phenomenal series with seven goals in the last three games for the Satellites who trailed 3-0 after the first three games before bouncing back to win games 4 and 5. Provost, who finished first in the Battle River Hockey League this season, moves on to face the Daysland Northstars in the League final. |
