24-08) The Provost Blades offense proved to be explosive for the second game in
a row as they beat the Tofield Satellites 5-2 Sunday night at the Tofield Arena. The Blades broke open a 1-1 game with a four goal second period thanks in large part to the natural hatrick by Justyn Schollar. Schollar scored two goals 35 seconds apart to extend the Blades lead to 4-1. Mike George and Chad Smith also scored for Provost who take a 2-0 lead in the best of seven semifinal series. The Blades scored three goals in the final five minutes of the opener Saturday winning 6-4. Tyson Schielke and Josh Lyons replied for the Satellites who find themselves down 2-0 heading into game three Wednesday in Provost. Game four will go Friday at the Tofield Arena. The other semifinal also resumes Wednesday in Daysland where the Northstars hold a 2-0 lead over the Sedgewick Sabres. |
