The
Tofield Satellites won their third straight game, edging the Irma Aces 2-1 in
Battle River Hockey League action Sunday night. Satellites defenceman Bryan
Lewis banked a shot off Aces goalie Lance Gulbraa for the winning goal
with 4:38 left in the third.
The Aces opened the scoring with 6:48 left
in the first period as Matt Tomlinson lifted a rebound past Satellites
goalie Jeremy Thom. Tofield's Chad Anderson tied the game after
stealing a loose puck behind the Aces net and tucking it behind Gulbraa
midway through the second period. Both Tofield goals were announced as unassisted.
Tofield now sports a record of 7 wins, 4 losses and an overtime loss.
Saturday
in Sedgewick, the Satellites won 3-1 over the Sabres. Jeff Van Engelen
scored the winner on the power play. |
