teams were the difference as the Tofield Satellites downed the Provost Blades
9-2 in Battle River Hockey League action Saturday night. The Satellites scored
7 power play goals and a shorthanded goal to improve to 4-0 on the season. Ryan Olson led the way with a Gordie Howe Hatrick: Olson scored three goals, added an assist and also got into a fight. Linemate Jeff Van Engelen was also productive offensively with a goal and three assists. The other member of the line, Mike Granberg scored a goal and added two assists. Down 1-0 after the first period, the Satellites rallied with 3 goals in the second and 6 more in the third. Other goal scores were Tyson Schielke, Chad Anderson, Bryan Fitzgerald and Leon Burns. Up 4-1 in the third, Tofield managed to kill off four consecutive penalties on their way to the win. The Satellites outshot the Blades 42-41 on the night. Chad Smith and Shaun Rose scored for the Blades who suffered their first loss of the season, falling to 3 and 1. |
