Williams
steps down - Satellites look for new head coach |
After
a three year stint as Head Coach of the Tofield Satellites, which included a Battle
River Hockey League Coach of the Year Award, Lionel Williams is stepping
down.
Williams joined the team in its first season (2003-04). In each of
his three years at the helm, the Satellites qualified for the playoffs, venturing
into the second round in their second season.
And it was during that season
that Williams combined with Assistants Rick Neufeld and Cliff Horricks to win
the Battle River Hockey League Coach of the Year Award.
The Satellites
hope to have a Head Coach in place shortly.
